Privacy Policy
This is TEMPO's pre-launch minimal policy — the product itself hasn't shipped yet, and at this stage our only touchpoints with you are the recruitment survey (Tally) and the $9 queue ticket (PayPal). A full PIPL / GDPR / CCPA-compliant policy will replace this page when the beta ships.
What we collect
- Contact info you voluntarily provide: email / WeChat ID / Xiaohongshu handle / Discord / Reddit username — from Tally survey Q5 or PayPal payment notes
- Your Q3 pain-point text (100-character cap) + Q1-bis first language + Q2/Q4 selections — entirely optional, you choose what to share
- $9 queue-ticket PayPal records (amount / timestamp / buyer email + notes you leave at payment). We don't see your card or payment-instrument details — those live only inside PayPal's systems
What we will never do
- ❌ Not collect your paper / résumé / JD / any academic material (if the beta needs these, we'll notify you in writing and get separate consent)
- ❌ Not sell your data to any third party
- ❌ Not use your data to train any AI model
- ❌ Not add your email to any mailing list without your explicit consent
How we use the data
- Contact info: used only by founder personally to follow up on interview scheduling / send the $9 queue-ticket link after the interview / launch notification (if you selected "notify me at launch" in Q5)
- Survey answers: read manually by founder to hand-write notes that inform product decisions (whether to GO into beta / which 3 personas to launch with)
- PayPal payment info: used to reconcile the queue-ticket list and manually credit your first month of subscription when the beta launches
How long we keep it
- Survey responses: deleted from the Tally dashboard within 30 days of pre-launch phase end (target: 2026-05-15)
- Interview recordings (if you participate): permanently destroyed within 2 weeks of notes being written up
- Interview notes: de-identified (name / school / directly identifying details removed) and kept indefinitely in founder's private git repo as a product-decision archive
- Email (if "notify me at launch"): removed from notification list within 30 days of the launch email being sent
- PayPal payment records: PayPal's own record-keeping is beyond our control (their compliance obligation); our own side spreadsheet is deleted within 6 months of the launch credit being applied
Your rights
- Opt out any time: email founder@tempo-app.pro asking us to delete all your data — processed within 24 hours
- Inquiry: same email address can request a list of "what data you currently hold about me"
- Correction: if info you provided is inaccurate, email us and we'll update it
- $9 refund: full refund within 7 days, one email and done — independent of this privacy policy
Cross-border data flow
TEMPO's founder is currently based in the UAE; the service providers we use and where they store data:
- Tally.so — survey service, data stored in the EU (Belgium)
- PayPal — payment processing, data stored in the US
- Cloudflare — hosting for this site you're reading, global CDN distribution
When the beta launches we'll add Supabase / OpenAI / Anthropic to that list — at which point we'll sign formal DPAs with them and update this policy. During the pre-launch phase, your data does NOT flow to those three providers.
Compliance posture
This page is a minimal pre-launch policy, not a comprehensive legal document. A full PIPL (China) / GDPR (EU) / CCPA (California) compliant version will ship with the beta. If you need a specific request processed under these regulations right now (e.g. GDPR data-portability or right-to-be-forgotten), email founder@tempo-app.pro directly — founder handles these 1-on-1.
Contact
This policy follows a "commit then expand" principle — every line is a genuine current commitment, not padded legal-template clauses we don't actually follow. When the beta launches, we'll rewrite this for formal compliance; until then, if you find any promise on this page unmet, email founder and we'll fix it immediately.
